I was just wondering where and how others have placed aftermarket fog lights. pics would be cool. i am considering it, but would prefer not to have it look to gauwky. is that a word? ;-) i am most interested in the placement of the switch on the interior. i am kinda weird about maintaining a stock look, but want to make upgrades. if that makes any sense.

For fog lights to work properly ( as fog lights ) they should be mounted as low to the ground as possible.

switch: small square below your rear defroster and wiper button, there is an extra spot for a switch

Location: On the front skirt (plastic piece below front bumper) cut rectangular holes and get some foglights that can be flush mounted in the holes. Looks real clean, thats what i did, lemme know if you want a pic.

yeah, I'd like to see a pic. I was thinking of doing that to my ex.

If you need an airdam with the factory holes cut in it for fogs, I have one off my old '92 you can have real cheap!! Send me an e-mail if you're interested.

Thanks for all of your replies.

ChuckyD: I hope that you'll be able to post the picture of your switch placement. Your truck looks great! Exactly what i wish to do to my truck. What kind of lights do you have and how are they attached. How did you determine their placement?

JDraper: I'll have to take a look at my airdam and see how it attaches, or unattaches rather. If it doesn't look like i'll be able to do what ChuckyD did, then i'll keep you in mind.

That's exactly what i thought that you were talking about, ChuckyD. I looked in my truck and that last area is not there. Although that would be an ideal place for it in my truck. I was also thinking about on the door panel above the mirror controls. Thanks for all of your help.

p.s. - what kind of lights do you recommend, if any?

Just find any light that can be flush mounted and if your not happy with the light it gives off... change the bulb
Just go to your local shop and ask them for a flush mountable fog light/driving light

Good luck

Try and get these on ebay. Worth at least $150.
Just wait fir the last min. and make your best bid. You will not be unhappy with PIAA.Dead Link Removed
