Fog lights/auto switch

I want my fogs to come on automatically with my low beams. I have an 02 Mounty. I think later years you are able to pull the switch out when in auto, I can only pull out the switch for fogs when I turn the lights on manually. I searched and someone said there is little "nub" that can be removed from the switch, has anyone done this? Also thinking of just powering the fog relay with the same wire as the low beam relay, anyone done this? Thanks

I dont think that would work when i bought my 2002 explorer the first owner i think tried to do that with the fog lights on with auto & broke it. The headlight switch i had to replace the whole switch because the turning knob about to fall off . Plus befor i replace the switch i notice when the switch is pull out in auto the fog light stay on even if the car is off & in daylight so i dont think it would work...

Does Iowa have any laws regarding use of fog lights?

I know in Nebraska you can't have them on unless it actually called for by weather circumstances. Also can't have them on during the day except for same.
