Fog Lights... HELP

ok, Ill be spending the day looking for the bulbs I should use and were to get them, can yall help with that?

Your bulb is a 9006 bulb. and any auto place will have them, or you can get them off of ebay for 10 bucks. i would go with something cheap if your sister is planing on more water crossings. but if you're going to keep your truck drier then you can opt for something more expensive like a silverstars or something of the like.

Yeah, I think that Im going to opt for the silver stars, The only reason it was that deep in water was because her street was turned into a lake with tropical storm Fey(I think it was fey)

The car came with 880 type bulbs for the fogs. Someone must have changed to a 9006 type bulb sometime before you got the Merc. Bulb on the left is 9006 and on the right is an 880. 880 styles also come in an angle plug like the 9006. 880 style was OEM.

Edit: Seems the 99 Merc used the 9006 bulbs for the fogs. My 98 uses the 880 style and I didnt realize that they changed.

lol, np man, there was one owner before it, and I didnt know too much about the history with him, so i would have done it lol! But anyway, yeah, Im looking for a foor bulb replacement now, Im going to run to walmart tommarow, hoping they will have them, I got a bunch of gift certificates to pay for it with

Well Everyone! Thanks for the imput! went and got a shiney new pair(decided not to upgrade though) pupped them in yesterday and lo and behold they workj like a charm! Thank you all for the imput and for helping me save that much money
