Hello everyone! I am new to this board and to Ford. Just got me a Ford Explorer Xlt 1997 and it looks great. Could you guys explain the Fog lights, they seem quite dim and I would like to replace tham with something very bright. Can I change the bulb to do this or do I need to chang the whole unit?? I would rather not chang the stile or add light to a diferent location. I could not find anything on line, does anyone know of a good place to get light??

Thanks

first off, welcome to the board. You are correct, the stock fog's are very dull. You may be able to upgrade the bulb, but you won't notice a huge increase due to the limitation of the stock wiring. best bet is to go with another aftermarket light. Shop around you can probably find what your looking for. In a 97 if its a rectangular light I know a few people have swapped in PIAA 1500's and some others have done some Pilot lights, both work much better then stock.
