My father just picked up a new 08 limited and we are looking to mod it so the fog lights stay on with the highbeam.....is this doable on this truck? my F-150 took about 3 mins to just ground the relay.

any info would be great!

thanks

You need to get a wiring diagram, then find the location of the fog light relay. You need to change the relays power in lead from the low beam circuit to the parking light circuit.

Posting to keep tabs on this thread. If anyone has any good ideas about this i just might try it myself.

Looking at the wiring diagrams for the 4th gens, this can't be done like it can on the older trucks. It looks like all of the lights are controlled by the "Smart Junction Box", so if it senses that the high-beam switch is on, it'll turn on the high beams and turn off the fogs.

To get the fog lights to work the way you're expecting, it looks like you'd have to cut the brown/white wire coming from the headlight switch and connect it to the brown/white wire going to the relay box under the hood. This'll bypass the SJB's control of the fogs.

HTH.

Figures that they would have made the system more computerized. I really have no idea of how to do it then.

Good Luck and let us know if you figure it out
