My 92 Ex has 110,000 miles on it, had it for bout a year now and has ran fine...now all a sudden its pullin all kinds of bull....
I have recently replaced shocks, all bearings, had tires aligned and rotated, and replaced brake caliper pins...

1. Loud grinding, crunching sounds when i turn, its mostly on right turns , but does do it on a few left turns...and it doesn't happen all the time. Mechanic said it was worn brake caliper pins...because 2 kept sliding out almost daily about 1 inch....but i have all new caliper pins now...still makes lound crunching sound...seems to come from passenger side. Any suggestions?

2. Whats that noise!!!???
I got the crunching on the passenger side sometimes...but when i drive over bumps i get this rattling sound from the drivers side.... I thought it was the loose running board, but it wasn't...makes the rattling sound alot when i go over bumps small or large, and sometimes when i apply the brake. It didn't do it for the longest time, probably about 3 months but that ******* sound is back now and louder than ever.
What could it be? Its going to drive me crazy!!!!!!

Ghost headlights?
I had 80/100watt bulbs in my headlights, and until recently they worked fine. recently they've started acting up.. low beams working fine if they are on for about 30 mins but then shuting off and turning right back on only to turn off again. and high beam use makes this happen even faster. The parking lights/turn signal lamps stay on when this happens.... would a bulb upgrade harness fix this problem?? I put old bulbs in and turned on high beams for an hour and they worked fine. any thoughts would help.

also i fudged up my explorer decal i had made too, but that was just mistake, it was only $6. just thought i'd throw that into my troubles...

please help!!

thanks for finshing,
ryan

#1 & 2 do you have a 4wd?

#3. From what I understand, there is a circuit breaker in the headlight circuit. By using higher wattage bulbs (which is a BAD idea), you are tripping the breaker as it overheats the wiring. When it cools back off a little, the lights come back on, but quickly turn back off as they overheat the wiring again. This is why there is no problem with stock wattage bulbs, as they don't overheat the wiring.

yes it is a 4x4.

I also checked to see what could be the cause of the driver side noise..i checked the tires movement..to see if there is exessive play...it seemed fine..maybe..maybe, slightly more than on the passengers side....I also sprayed some wd-40 all over my door hinges and whatnot...and i drove it..and i didn't hear the noise..its gonna drive me crazy.

but any help you can offer i'll appericate

on the lighting..i'm going to leave the stock bulbs in..until i can get a upgraded wiring harness..

Problem 1

Check the auto hubs, if they are sticking it will engage/disengage the axle shafts. You need to check out the U-joints in the front as well, I bet thats where the most poping and jumping is comming from, they can go bad without looking like it.
Also check out the Ball Joints, the early ones eat Ball Joints pretty fast.
Another thing to check is the wheel bearings preload. after new ones are installed you need to check the again after a few thousand miles.
On an off chance how are the rear brake shoes? Mine (a '93) sounded the same (grinding and such from the FRONT end) and the rear drums and shoes were shot.
If the door hinge is loose, Ford makes a bushing repair kit for it.

I would say that #2 is your Radius Arms need new bushings...
