I bought a Flowmaster force II cat back system for my 96 explorer with the ohv engine, it came with the 50 series suv muffler. I installed it and it sounded stock when it first started, then a lil later it seemed to get a little sound. Do I need to drive it for a few days or what before the sound will actually kick in? I have listened to exhaust clips from others on here that say they have the 50 series suv, just a muffler and it's way louder than mine.
Any ideas?
Also the muffler was silver and now it's turning a bronsish color, just after maybe 40 minutes of driving. I can smell some type of smell once the exhaust gets hot, is this normal? There was also a good bit of water that came out of the tail pipe when I first put it on and started it, and whiteish colored exhaust.
