The Perfect Exhaust

I ask because I’ve ordered a Super 40 with 2.5" center in and 2.5" center out. I was thinking about true dual exhaust but didn’t want to loose the spare tire (no big deal when your in the city but out in the middle of BFN a flat can be a real drag). I'm going to fab up a Y collector and dump just before the rear axle for the time being. I’m a little unsure what to expect of a single muffler on the 5.0L. I know 5.0L mustangs always ran 2 mufflers. I don’t know if this will be too restrictive or sound real bad.
Did you see the pic in post #22 of this thread
that is true dual, ran around the spare tire which is there
it can be done

Not to knowledgable with exaust systems.... does the "cat back" kits replace the factory catalytic converters. my cats are shot 180,000. but the vehicle body, motor, and chasis have been well cared for. Making it well worth replacing. Of all the different trucks in this thread it seems like every body just changes their muffler. anybody replace from manifold back?

sorry guys been in tennessee for the past week....i will post pictures on cardomain.com A.S.A.P....and i will try to get a sound clip posted (but i would need some help on how to post a sound clip) yes my spare tire is gone but i still have room to put a spare tire underneath....its kind of hard to explain where the second muffler is placed but i will post pics of the exhaust setup and how it was ran....
