ford explorer stalling

My 1991 ford explorer has stalled 2 in the last 2 days and has been idling very quietely more so than usual, ansd i can tell its going to stall some more anyone know what it could be??? thanks

fuel filter or fuel pump,plugged ai rclearer?? my 2001 explorer was stalling and it was a fuel problem ,replace filter, it stopped

I'd probably start with some basic diagnostics: fuel pressure test (see mini diary in under the hood forum) and pull codes (see stickies in EEC-IV forum).
