Ford Explorer XLT 2003 Door Ajar light affecting sanity!

Have a 2003 Ford Explorer XLT with door ajar light on most of the time with beeping every 3 seconds and right and left blinker intermittently working. I replaced a door sensor switch on driver's door but it was a used part. Ive oiled all the doors and latches and checked the fuses. This affects the power mirrors, cigarette/cell phone plug, and the alarm will go off by itself. I'd be grateful for any input? Thanks!

Search Bigrondo posts for door wiring. Sounds like broken/frayed wiring in between the door and body.
