hi, i got myself a donor f-150 with 5.0L and a 5-spd. I have hear rumors that the tranny won't fit. is this true? why would it not fit? and if it doesn't fit, would a t-5 bolt on to it?

I can't answer your Q, but the person who can is probably going to need to know what year F150.:D

oops  its a 1989

The tranny is too big to fit in the tunnel on the X. If you have a 3" body lift, it might fit. The stock X t-case won't fit on the F-150 trany, and I think the F-150 case would be too wide to fit within the frame on an X. Another problem you are going to have is with the stock F-150 EFI intake. It is also too tall to fit under the hood of a stock X. Again a 3" body lift may allow you to fit it under the hood.
