We just bought a 2017 Explorer Sport and the salesperson said it had FordPass. We’ve discovered it was only available in certain models (not the Explorer) in 2017. Is there an aftermarket item to add to make FordPass work? I had OnStar with my last car and really liked being able to start my car from my iPhone or look at the tire pressure on my phone.

My 2011 had Ford Pass until my wife got a newer car....then it was Toyota pass.

Those features became available in 2018. You can still access some fordpass features like fuel capacity and mileage. FordPass Smartlink service was discontinued by Ford in December 2019 and refunds were provided to users...
