Just purchased the Fel-Pro intake manifold gasket set which includes the upper and lower intake gaskets, valve cover gaskets, etc...90$ at Advance Auto.

The new lower intake gaskets are 2 PIECE metal with rubber around the ports...the FORD "updated" lower intake gasket is metal and ONE PIECE.

The Fel-Pro set has an insert which says that, "the one-piece design with molded end seals has been eliminated because we found that in many cases the seals hold up the manifold and create leaks. RTV is provided for sealing the end rails".

Thought this was interesting...;)

Does anyone know the torque specs (IN. LB) for the lower and upper intake manifolds? I'd appreciate it!!!

NAPA says: Lower Intake

4 steps, 1- 35-71 INCH Lbs (4-8 N.m)
2- 6-11 Ft. Lbs (8-15 N.m)
3- 11-15 Ft. Lbs (15-21 N.m)
4- 15-18 Ft. Lbs (21-25 N.m)

Upper 15-18 Ft. Lbs (20-25 N.m)

Regards.
