After reading recent thread on this i popped to my local Ford dealer to get some friction modifier and sealant in prep for changing the diff fluid.
Guess what? He couldn't find any listing for the modifier and to boot the only spec he found on gear oil for the diff was for 80w90.
Been on line and found spec number EST-M2C 118-A and FIR Number 135454. are either of these the part number i need to order the stuff.
Also any recommendations on where to buy the 75w140 oil and how much i need. My calculations from 5.8 US pints equates to 3. something litres, correct??
Thanks

It should use a little under 3 quarts. Can you get amsoil over there? It's really good stuff. They make friction modifier too. Any performance, or probably auto parts store should be able to get you the friction modifier. You don't have to use the ford stuff, anything for a clutch based limited slip diff should work fine.

Don't know if they sell it, but look at 'OPIE OILS' on the web.

Thanks i'll have look
When at the dealer the guy looked up the spec for the diff oil and came up with 80w90. On the specs list on this site it says 75w140.
Which should i go with??? (with the modifier)
Checked out Opie oils and can get both and Red Line modifier at not too unreasonable prices.

Thanks Techieman
