Okay I hate to probably bring up an old topic on a new thread but I couldn't find what I was looking for using the search...

Well its time to replace my front right wheel bearing. I wasnt sure what kind of bearing it was so I went to O'reilly's to see and they told me I would have to replace the whole hub (not a very big deal, its what I thought in the first place) for like 70 bucks.

Can someone tell me if its easy to change? I plan on doing both front hubs in the next day or 2.

Thanks in advance

Well did the front right today, its not hard at all, just had to buy the 32mm axle nut socket for about 10 bucks and about 2 hours of work

Has anyone done a DIY write up with pictures?

The front left is starting to make funny noises and I know its the bearing so when it goes out and I get around to changing it, I will take pics and post them on this thread. Its really not hard to do, its just time consuming if you aren't sure what you are doing.

Yes- it's under the hub/bearing writeup for the 2nd gen Ex- same thing.

That's the one- thanks JR, I was on my Blackberry... :D
