front body mounts

i got what looks like a loose body mount under my core support n the passenger side of my '99 sport. i took my impact and tried tightening it down, doesn't seem to have helped. when i hit bumps it rattles like hell, more like a thumping noise. is this a common problem? any suggestions? shim it with washers to tighten it up maybe?

Your best bet would be either to replace the bolt or order up some new body mounts and replace them. When I say replace the bolt, it usually means cut the bolt/mount out and replace.

The front one are usually the worst too.
