front end noise?

When im just sitting there and I cut the wheel, I hear a creeking noise coming from the front like something with the suspension. what do you guys think it is and how would i diagnose a problem like this?

More than likely ball joints or tie rod ends. Possibly sway bar bushings or sway bar links.

2wd or 4wd?

The hum could be the alignment is off from the bad ball joint or tie rod end. Those parts going bad will cause the tire to "drag" in a sense.

Replace the ball joints and tie rod ends then take it for an alignment ASAP afterwords.
