Front Passenger Door Problems

hey guys

i have a 96 explorer 4 door.

before a week when i open the front passenger door the door ajar light is not coming up and the light on the bottom of the door it doesn't work also when the door is open, but it locks and unlocks properly.

i notice when i take right corners quick the door ajar light comes on.

i already spray wd40 in the door and nothing changed.

all othe doors are working properly.

any ideas?

Do you have the key fob alarm button?

yes and actually i had a disable ford aftermarket alarm system which i eneble it before the proble starts.

also i checked the problem again and the light at the bottom of the door works when the door opens just the door ajar light it doesn`t recognize that my door is open and when i turn right the door ajar light come on.

Try setting the alarm, wih the door opened.

If it will, you can then remove the door panel.

When you bump the bad connection, your alarm will sound-- this may help to find it.
You may need to reset your alarm several times before you really narrow it down. Also--look at the area where the wires enter through the door jamb. There is an electrical plug there.
In any event,
Sounds like a loose connection, or bad ground to me

i found that the wire in the picture broke from the door lock.

can i just replace this part or i will have to buy the whole lock?

It looks like the connector has broken away from the door latch .
I think you do need a new latch---good luck.
