i already have the 4'' superlift kit on my truck. The front sites about an inch lower. I think that maybe a simple body lift ofan inch or two will be perfect, but i dont want that frame hanging down, how much can i get away with without seeing that frame hanging down.

1" body lift is a good solution, except for the fact that you will also still be raising the back??

why dont you just do a torsion twist to even up the front end?

I have a 2" body lift and it doesnt seem to show the frame too much. I made some of those custom wheel well liners out of pond liner. Then I went over the entire wheel well with some Duplicolor Truck bed liner and everything is all blended in. Just an idea. I would raise the front with the torsion bars to level it out. 1" TT isnt that bad. I thiink if you did a 2" BL and 1" TT in the front on top of your 4 inch suspension lift, your truck would look straight up mean!

SUA? inch block in the rear?

much much much much much much easier then a body lift

/start creager singing

ohhh i gotta 3 inch body lift and it shows.
i wanna skyjacker lift but nooo

/end me singing

i would crank the torsion bars, but there is only about a quarter of an inch of lift left and its just not worth it with all the realligning i would have to do. i might just simply find some shorter shackles for the rear to bring that down a little. Let me know where i can find some or what you think

dont know about a shorter shackle, dont think thats even avalible unless you make it yourself. It might be OK, but probably make the ride a lil rougher who knows

i still think you should just get a block for the rear... 20 bucks at pepboys and would take what... an hour to put in?

wont the block push the rear up though?

that depeneds... are you spring over axle or spring under (stock?)

you said 4" lift i wasnt sure which one you could be...

if you are still spring under axle then it will effectivly lower your truck. It pushes the axle up, or the springs down; how ever you look at it it lowers the vehical.

i have the leaf springs under the axle

Then yeah, a 1" lift/lowering block in the rear would do exactly that, lower it.

wouldnt he lose some clearance though? arent the lower shock mounts already a clearance issue? i guess it depends if he wheels his rig or if its a street queen.....

yes he would lose some clearance, an inch to be exact ;)

No clearence would be lost as the block goes on top of the leafspring (not under the shock mount). The shock mount clearance stays the same.

But if it goes ontop of the leafspring, it lowers the springs in relation to the axle down 1". The shock mounts will be under the springs and in effect lower the springs and shock mounts (causing the whole rear to be lower 1") making the shock mounts 1" closer to the ground. (this is all assumoing the use of a 1" lift/lowering block).

wow you guys lost me.
If you want the rear down 1" and you are spring under axle, put a 1" block in as stated. Simple, works fine, 1" is not going to cause any serious clearance issues.

C'mon, Jamie. You gotta keep up.

no, it will not cause any drastic change in clearance. An inch is not that big of a deal.

I am better with pictures then with jargan :)

Yes the whole rear of the truck would be lower. My point was that If you only needed say 3 inches of lift in the rear of the truck and you did add the superlift 4" springs and put a 1 inch spacer in then the shock mount which is under the spring would still have the same clearance as if you just added a 3 inch high lift spring.......confusing isn't it LOL

A 4" lift spring and 1" block under the rear axle will make the shock mounts lower than if you just did a 3" spring. Since there is a 1" block between the shock mount and the axle tube it will hang down an extra 1". If a 3" spring was used it would be mounted somewhat flush between the axle tube and shock mount. So you would lose some clearance with the block but not much.
