I bought a 2003 ford explorer eddie bauer a few months ago. The rear wiper motor was shorting out, draining my battery. Had the motor disconnected. Would this cause the front washer pump not work ? All fuses where check as they started at the front of the truck and checked all the electrical, even undid the dash. Front washer pump was working before all this.
Thanks.

Plug it back in and try it. If it works replace the rear motor.

Well, that will work. Pugged it in and front wiper pump works. Will replace rear wiper motor. Thought the mechanic would have know that, when he disconnected it.
Thanks for yor help.

I probably wouldn't have made the connection, strange...

It made me think, as there was no rear washer reservoir. Like I had on my Mazda mpv. Both front and rear wiper controls are on my turn signal arm. Guess with one washer tank and one washer pump, they are all connected.
Happy Holidays.
