my key wont unlock or lock any lock except the back hatch. now the driver side wont unlock electronically. HELP!!!!! does anyone know how to go in there and fix it?

i tried. best thing i found was taking the door panel off to get at the back side of the locking mechanism. then to get the other side i took the screws out of the side of the door that hold the lock onto the door. then you can push the lock away from the door just enough to blast some PB blaster or wd-40 or something in there.

When you put the key in the lock will it turn the cylinder or does the lock cylinder refuse to turn? If that is the case I use CRC silicone spray on my lock cylinders since that happened to my 98 sport. It freed the lock cylinder almost instantly. Use the swizel stick on the nozzle and push it inside the lock cylinder, then try the key. If the cylinder turns but does not lock or unlock the door you'll need to remove the door panel(s) and check for broken linkage clips. Also the arming spring in the door latch assembly breaks and prevents the remote from unlocking the latch. The way to open the door when that happens is to pull up on the rod connected to the outside handle then use the remote. Do a search for broken door latch.

i sprayed some foaming silicon spray in there while holding the cylinder open with a paper clip. it worked on the passenger door! now the drivers side works only when the door is open.thanks for your help i really aprreciate it. i just hope i wont have to replace the locks in the future
