Ok I give up...where is the fuel filter?

In fact is there a fuel filter?

I can't even find a fuel filter part number on Fordparts site.

Thanks for any insight.

I don't think it makes a difference but what year and model Explorer do you have? Your profile shows 2010 Mustang.
Checked the Internet and came across a post from an 2011 F-150 owner saying his fuel filter is in the gas tank and is not serviceable. A reply to his post stated; "It has a "fuel filter for life" as part of the Fuel Pump Module."
Contact and ask your local dealer parts department if no one has the answer you're looking for.

My service adviser informed me when I purchased my pre-owned 2012 Explorer Limited, that the fuel filter does not need to be replaced. It is indeed part of the fuel pump.

Hi all,
Unable to locate clear answer when typing "Fuel filter replacement", wondering if the group can point me in right direction. I'd like to replace fuel filter now @ ~70K, but cannot locate a specific answer as to location, part number, and maybe a video or 2 regarding how to change this thing. Any suggestions? Or link to a thread where previously answered?

Have merged your thread with this one. See the post directly above yours. The fuel pump sits on top of the tank.
BTW, I looked through Fordparts.com and they do not have a listing for a fuel filter.
