Yes,
I am new to the team but not totally unfamiliar with the Ford Explorer.
Mine has 235,000 on it now; and I have a problem.
I have a leak from the fuel line connection up near the power steering
pump.
I know how to take the lines loose ; but will I be able to replace the O-
rings inside the fuel line?
Thanx,
Mollymoocher

I don' recall ford using O-rings on their fuel lines.

If you mean the garter springs, they aren't replaceable and are not a part of the sealing process between two components.

Fuel Line Problem....

Thanks for the input and the welcome. Took it to dealer. Needless to say; I'll be spending more than I expected.
Dealer service says they must remove intake manifold to replace pressurized fuel
line. I think it was supposed to be around $325. Oh Joy !!

On a '93, the pressurized fuel line goes from the fuel pump in the tank to the fuel pressure regulator. All of this is exposed and I can't visualize why they need to remove the intake unless there is a leak or something in the intake itself. From your description, you have a leak in the line on the drivers side somewhere the steel line joins the flex line.

tell them that at the dealer...see what they say. act like you know what they are doing is wrong....

Upon further review... The fuel line prolly goes to the intake spacer. The return goes to the fuel pressure regulator. Even so, it is easy to pop off the upper intake to get at the fitting. That makes most of your quote for labor then.

Garter springs are replaceable!

True!!

Fuel line problem.....

I appreciate all the input to my question. I failed to tell you that there is a leak in the braided line. Above the steel line next to the power steering hose in front of pump.
I guess after a long period of time vibration must have worn a hole in the braided line. That is the line they will replace that goes under the intake.
