It isn't really clear what you are asking, can you clarify it a bit? Would be glad to help.

fuel reset

So I may not have explained well enough. You could insert key into switch, turn key, get radio, gauges, lights.. all powered up. But, from that, nothing. The truck would not turn over, as in if you did not have all the above working, you would think that the battery was not even in the truck.
So, the stealership said that I needed a new puter. With that, I had it towed home and placed under my garage..So Im tinkering with the truck last night and come across the fuel reset button, it was tripped. I reset it, and low and behold the truck started right up.
So my question is, with the fuel reset tripped, will it cause the computer to not allow the starting of the truck? Or how much control does the switch, tripped, have over the starting ( not cranking) of the truck.

Hope that helps some

It sounds right, I would have expected the engine to crank but not fire, the switch may interrupt the starter solenoid and the fuel pump.
