hey, i did some calculating for ratios for my truck, and with the math of 1.9 second transfercase backed to the 2.48 1354 case, with a 3.4 first gear ratio in my 5 spd, to an axle with 6.72, it equals 107.66 , and with a 49 tall tire, what is that gonna pretty much equate to in terms of truck performance and getting the truck moving
 






thats going to be more then enough, most crawlers want a 100:1 ratio for low range so...
 






with calculating, my top speed with both in high in 5th will be 137mph @5k rpms, and both in low it will be 39mph, plus the multiplied power to the ground with playing with gears will be 878tq, but my wheel speed will only be 18rpm

Wheel brake kit? Those look like pinion brakes.
 






nope, wheel brake kit, that adapts right to where the hubs are on each axle, so it stops like a normal truck, only pinion brake im going to have on the truck is going to be used as a parking brake only
 






tomorrow i pick up my bronc2 gas tank and all that, even got the skid plate with it, all for $75
 






got the gas tank yesterday, now to prep the tank and all that, got the everything including the stock pump for $75 but the unit only has 2 hoses instead of 3 like the explorer, anything to worry about?

right now keep the stock master cylinder unless i can find like a f250/350 master cylinder that will just bolt right up and clear
 






if i can get the clips hosted on the net, ive got mini clips from my phone of the infamous big explorer down here(not mine, the green 4dr), pulling at jesse blacks down here, and as a little teaser, come to find out, its a 514 ford motor with a built to hell tranny (thats what this guy does for a living), its got 15:1 compression, and off the bottle its hovering around the 1k hp mark, this thing is bucknasty

Good lord. I bet that wheel-brake kit is $$$$!

I'm gonna run pinion brakes when I swap rock's under my rig, no street driving for me.
