Im installing DVD headrest in our new Explorer. I was going to tap into the fuse panel for the 12V power. I can't find any spare slots with switched power. When looking at the manual it shows a fuse for a heated steering wheel that we don't have as an option. My question is why do I have a fuse for something I don't have? I was thinking of using that spot but I'm a little stumped as to why there's a fuse there to begin with. Any other suggestions for 12V switchable power?

the cigarette lighter is usually at a switched 12v for most vehicles. Use a test light to double check

It is on my '98. I used it to power a dashcam. Comes on with 'start' and off with 'engine off.' Keeps recording over mini sd so I have like a few days of stuff before it over writes.
