Hello everyone, I hope someone can help me out. I have a 1991 Ford Explorer XLT. Sometimes the gas pedal wants to stick when I take off. I am afraid I am going to hit something when I have to press down on it hard to get it to go, because of course then it jumps forward or backward depending on the why I am parked. Any idea what the problem may be. Your help would be much appreciated.

also make sure the pedal isn't getting hung up on the carpet or floor mat
