Gear ratios and codes

OK I have already searched and I could not come up with anything. What gear ratios are available in the 3rd gen. Explorers, and what are the codes (the code I would find on the sticker in the door jam) for each of them? My parents will probably be shopping around for a newer Explorer soon, and after dealing with 3.27s in my '94, I want to make sure to get a truck with a good ratio this time. Thanks in advance.

3.55 and 3.73 were the only 2 for the 3rd gens -- 3.73 are easy to spot -- they will have the larger trailer hitch as it was part of the towing package.
