Hey Guys,

I was thinking about buying an OBDII scanner for my truck, how much am i looking to spend? Its getting to be a pain to run to autozone every time i get a check engine light.

For starters you need an OBDII reader not OBDI.

I picked up an OBD-II scanner with CAN support from Harbor Freight. I got it on sale and used my 15% off coupon.. I ended up paying $75 or so for it.

It seems to work well enough for my uses (in-laws vehicle diags)

I just checked online and its on sales for $79.. If you have a local Harbor freight tools store, print out the online price.. bring it in with you and they will honor the price.. Last time I looked the in store price was over $100

They have them at wal mart and they are like $10 cheaper than buying one with similar features other places.
