Getting HID's in my 2008 Explorer

Bi-xenon in a halogen projector are a waste. You'll be much happier with a single beam.

AGREED.

I've now used two different renditions of "bi-xenon" bulbs (one mechanical, one magnetic). Both didn't do much to improve visibiliy when on "high beam". You'll get much more useable light from a single beam HID than you will from a high beam halogen anyhow so be happy with single beam and save some money in the process.

No. Wait about 10 years and they may produce them.

None that I've seen so far. Consider the fact that they JUST started making them for the second generation ('95-'01) and there are a LOT more of them on the road than '08's (or other 3rd gens). Might take a while, but you never know. Projector housings seem to be in demand for all vehicles.

I just installed some in my '99 this weekend (sorry to hijack...I just wanted to post them again): :D

Not true. I have the magnetic telescopie bi-xenons in my '08. High beam is fine. Not great, but the stock halogen high beam was not good either.
