Going in for a paint job!!

As far as magazines go, getting an Explorer feature in any of the ones mentioned before would be awesome, especially Four Wheeler, but that thing needs to get on the cover of 4 Wheel & Off Road. That would help a lot of people begin to accept the Explorer as an off road worthy platform rather than a boulevard cruiser. It's just my opinion, but 4W&OR is the most "down-in-the-dirt" 4wd magazine out there. Rick, you should try and get it featured in 4W&OR first because I seem to remember reading that they don't like featuring trucks that other magazines have already. Lead the charge!

Well I just got word that the Great Pumpkin will be on the cover of Off-Road magazine for their February 2001 issue! It should also make Fourwheeler within the next 6 months or so also, the editor already photographed the beast.

I agree that 4WD & Sport Utility is moe off-road based than any of the other mags, but I'm happy how things have worked out. I had the opportunity to meet with Trent Riddle last week here in AZ, but I felt that going for three mags in a row would be pushing my luck.

Anyway, I think 4wd&SU will like my Explorer even better once it has the roll cage and beadlocks :D

No, I mean Peterson's 4 Wheel & Off Road. I am the only person here who subscribes to it?! Still though, that's so cool that soon the country will know about off road Explorers!

Peterson's is a great magazine through and through.
enough said.

I get Petersen's, 4wheeler, and now I get 4wd&SU. I LOVE 4wd&SU, but they are mainly Jeeps, but, they have great articles on locations, and they have great pictures of the places they go to too. They need to show more of their name (Sport Utilities). They don't have enough. Stuff like explorers, 4runners, blazers, broncos (both old and new).

uuuuuuhhhhhhhhh I'm not seeing anything here! I wanna see it!

Rick! I want to see your Explorer NOW!! How come everybody can see it except meeee????

Did I hear that right.....are bead locks and a roll cage on the way??? You really do like spending money don't you?? You could invest some in me you know. :)

Just for you 95EXP

Look through all of the pages on this thread for the rest of the photos.

Thank you Rick, but I still cant see anything.....:D

Rick, I never seemed to know, but do you have a body lift...If so, do you have a photo of your rear gate and bumper with out the jerry cans and spare tire...I'm kinda curious how that looks with out all the extras on it...Either way, do you have that photo?
Thanks,
Pete

I dont think Rick has a body lift on his ride. I still dont see how you fit in the garage Rick.

LOL... When I was at Rick's house I couldn't see how he was going to get it out of the garage. :)

There isn't a body lift on my Explorer. And as Paul can attest it barely fits in the garage :D

yah

Yes Yes nice nice. :D

I'll be looking forward to seeing the "Great Pumpkin" on the cover shot..

Just opinion here, its wild enough that you could do a full extreme checkerboard flag type job along the whole bottom and look good..perhaps if you get body damage down there. Add a set of Billet rims and youre ready for show..like alot of magazine covers. Ooh and how about a black jack-o-lantern face on the hood?

BTW a suggestion...you might try getting into MiniTruckin'...they do 4x4 features and the Explorer qualifies.
