not bad for a 5.0 with 200K, they blue book at 2000-2500 around here

it's the uglier limited package and be ware of that aged leather seats

thanks for the quick reply! the only thing im worried about is why he only wants 600 for it. im gonna go by today and take a look at it.

Id say hell, go for it, but really check it out, that part in the ad "Runs Decent" kinda scares me...

okay cool. thanks again. im gonna go ahead and get it. if anything i could always part it out if it takes a dump on me. ohh, i forgot to mention, i talked him down to 500 :D

Good stuff....hope it works out for you!
Post back when you go check it out/get it and let us know what happens:thumbsup:

Can never tell on Craigslist. Some many of the sellers on there are so full of crap. Mind you, for $600 it sounds more realistic than some of the other Explorer ads I've seen on Craigs in the last while.

Yeah check it out you never know may get a great truck got my 93 ex for 500 dollars and it only has 144k miles on it drives fantastic.

I'd say its worth $500. You could part it out and make your money back plus some.

you probably wont find a better price for an exp thats running even if only decent. 500 bucks? the fact it starts and runs is already worth it. you could easily double your money either way.

tough crowd here.

i just sold a piece of crap dodge truck with a blown engine and bad tranny for 700.

good luck with your new x.

well if he took our advice he looked it over very well, maybe had a mechanic check it before he bought it...

a V6 can still be a good truck even at that age... but yes I am a V8 advocate

Take it for a 15min test drive. Monitor all gauges, listen for noises. Let it sit and idle afterwards. If it doesn't overheat, stall, or slip(tranny) then I say pay the $500 and don't look back.
