Does anyone know of some good web sites for wheels and tires. I know of discounttiredirect.com tirerack.com, and discounttires.com. Im looking for some nice 16" wheels.

Site

I would tend to stay away from www.offroadconnection.com This is my personal opinion having purchased from them twice now. The last purchase was a SSV steering stabilizer for my brothers Chevy. The shock came, however there were no attatchment parts in the box. They have no telephone contact so its nearly impossible to take care of any problems that might arise. I've been battling the idea of buying wheels and tires online vs buying them local. I can get the ARE Baja's local for $95/ea and Bridgestone Dueler M/T 33 X 12.5 for around $150/ea This includes the mount and balance....but not the stems or the center caps....I'm still up in the air about this. I THINK its cheaper to just pay a little more at a local store than to pay for the high cost of S/H on heavy wheels and tires.

I can use the MFR web sites to see what i like but when it comes time to buy them, to find a good place is a pain, so i was trying to cut some corners and see if anyone knew good retail sites off the top of their heads.
thanks though.

Local Shop

I go to a place called Cheney Tire which is in Upstate NY. They give me a good deal and have reliable mechanics. I'm not sure if they'll do shipping on wheels or something like that

www.cheneytire.com

If you order from here, plz tell them that you heard about them from Nate Hunter.

You can try www.4wheelparts.com I buy a lot of my stuff through them. Who knows there my even be one close to where you live so you wouldn't have to pay for shipping. You can check when you go the the web site.

Lead, is it worth paying the money for a catalogue from 4wheelparts? How much early explorer stuff do they have in it?

hehe i live right by a lesschwab. almost bought some Sport Metal Revolvers 20" and some Falken Ziex s/tz's

they looked awesome. but the almost 4k for the setup sent me home with my tail between my legs. i guess im gonna have to get some 17's
