Congrats Matt. I was born and raised in a Ford family, but I agree with your purchace. I HATE the newer (pre-04) F-150's. The engine is a PITA to work on, the truck is poorly built, yet it still sells? The only problems I know of with the Chevy is the week idler arm (its better now than a few years ago) and I don't know if they fixed the problem with the 5.3L but the earlier 5.7L had a problem with the intake leaking coolant.
