Just got back from my first run with my new lift, rims, and tires. I went to a little place where I usually go, a fairly large wooded area with lots of mud puddles. This is usually used for dirt bikes and quads, but there are some trails I was able to go on. First off we went through lots of pretty good sized puddles that we never could get through with stock tires. Next we went on some trails, we found a new one we had never been on. As we got further in the trail it started getting VERY thin, so we decided to turn back. We were backing up a slight hill so we could turn around, and all of a sudden the rear passenger tire dug into the ground. Tried going forward, but just our luck, there was a fallen tree RIGHT against the passenger-side tire. It had rained all week, so the ground wasn't very sturdy. I sent a couple people to go to a nearby friend's house. Luckily he was just entering with another person on a dirt bike. He ran home and got a type of hand winch. I don't remember the name, it's used to get cars on trailers. Wrapped a chain around the tree, then one around the trailer ball, and just started reeling. We made it out of there and then followed the dirt biker on some trails. These were all mud and puddles, stopping would've gotten us stuck. We were just about through when the front driver-side wheel hit a large rock, passenger side bounced sideways and hit a tree. It wasn't too bad, good sized scrape and a little dent. I just said it didn't bug me since it's bound to happen every once and a while. Anyways, it was pretty fun, I was real surprised how much of a difference these new wheels made. I guess my next plan is to lock the rear. It also started pouring when we got out of our hole, which made it more slippery. Below is a pic of the bruise. Good times!
