I got a 99 XLT that's white and grey two toned. Well, then front bumper is that grey plastic looking bumper that I always see faded on other trucks and mine's starting to look a little faded. Is there anything I can put on there to keep it from looking faded and to keep it from fading? Something like Back to Black or Armor All maybe?

Vinylx works well (from the makers of Lexol leather care products), but if you want something that lasts longer I highly recommend meguiars plastic and trim detailer. It lasts a long time and makes the plastic look brand new. It is cheap too... only like $2 for a bottle. Get some from www.meguiars.com . Good luck.

you could just paint it black like i did. get the paint made for plastic at walmart and spray them. works well. it is near the expandible foam in the store near the tire department.

did you do any other preparations before you sprayed it? Does the paint last?

is the material for the bumpers used from 95-98 and 99-01 the same? it looks different..

I believe it is different. The material used on the 99+ is more of a eurathane, its more flexible.

I'd use a product like vinylex and make sure that you always treat the plastic with a UV blocker (but NOT Armor All) to prevent further damage.
