ok i have not walked into a store yet, i been looking on line and i got a few questions for h13 hids.

i want hi/low beams. they offer h13 hids with a slide which is how most cars get hi/low beams. digital igniters, my question is, since every one i see, do i need to splice into the factory headlight connectors, or do the ones made for h13 bulb come with the connector and its just plug and play?

i'm looking for them to have a plug the opposite side of a h13 bulb connector.

also 55w uses a 3rd igniter and 35w will use the factory wires? am i correct on this?

can anybody know or can recommend a plug and play hid, preferably slim igniters digital with connectors that mate with the h13 bulb connector.

thanks!

btw. i have read other threads on hid's but none that i went through went about the connector from the truck to the balists / igniters.

edit: also is it possible to get hi/low with just an igniter per headlight not using a 3rd igniter.

ok so what you would need is an h13 xenon/halogen bulb. since you only have one bulb for both high/low which stock is a dual filament you will need the xenon/halogen bulb which cost's more or just settle for having just low beams.

not sure what your referring to about igniters but that is incorrect. 55w and 35w use the same stock wiring. 55w will draw more power and with most cars/trucks will require a relay. what car/year would this be for? there are so many companies out there that offer digital slim hids in 55 and 35w, just have to shop around for the best price and product. few companies i dealt with are:

hidcountry.com
ddmtuning.com
hidgeek.com

Tip: (55w run hotter and might melt or casue damage in small areas such as fog lights. and you will most likely need a relay. Depending on the car/truck/year i would recomend 35w with no relay and the xenon/halogen light for you.)

its going in a 2010 ex. i dont mind price, i dont want a relay tho, the igniter is the hid box i guess. the control behind the hid.

i saw you can use hi/low on hid, that have a slide plate, which just uncovers more of the bulb for high beams.

but, the only thing i cant figure out is are they are direct, will connect the headlight connector, or splice in. i dont want to cut out the connector and put it back when i dont want hids.

i'm pretty much keeping a 5-6k bulb not going crazy or color.

ive never heard of a bulb like that the only one i now is the xenon/halogen and its called a ballast. and there is no splicing involed with any hid kit im not sure where your getting that from. it will be simple plug in play since you would be leaning towards the 35w. check out hidcountry.com

I believe the side plate you're referring to is only on the H4 bulb. All the H13's I've seen are open or come telescoping. 99% of the kits now are plugnplay but may require a resistor/cancellor to eliminate the bulb out light on the dash. Definitely use the relay for the kit.

i searched so many this could be. i wasnt all my self when i looked but i spent an hr or two looking up hids, slim, digital, then found ones i need to put wires in the head light sockets ....

thanks guys i appreciate all the help tho. i'm horrible with aftermarket accessories.
