half doors anybody?

I have a 92 Sport, i figured it would be kickass to get some half doors, but it would be like $60 for the ones i need, and idk if its worth it. I have a few questions:
1) would i specifically need doors from a sport?i mean i know the front doors from a 4 door have the top part that sticks back as opposed to the sport where its more of a straight line, but if im gonna cut the top part off would the bottom half fit?
2) has anybody done this before? the doors are damn heavy and im worried that it would be hard to work with them.

Yes you are going to need doors from a sport. They are longer than the 4dr set.

I have not make 1/2 doors but i got some tube doors that im waiting to install when i get a pretty day
