Half shafts

[P361 DOD]

Hi guys me again seem to have a problem with the n/s rear half shaft. it seems sloppy ie i can grip the wheel and pull it in and out not much but any movement can't be a good thing. Possible causes and fixes please I've checked everything else and its definitely the shaft.
As always I'm grateful for all advice

that movment is standard on the explorer axle .
