Halloween

Alright, forgive me being I'm in the army and have been up all night, I called the wife last night (I think she was still sleepin too LOL) and she gave me a "We'll see.."

If I have my way, it's hell ya we're going...I have a buddy that just bought a Dakota 4x4 and I'm gonna try and talk them into going too...

One more question, how much is it to get into the park, and how much is it to camp? Is the fee to camp for the whole weekend or is it for just the night. What do they have there? Shower's bath's what? Pack yer cooler type setup?

Let me know guy's, I like to bring the lil ranger out and play with ya'll.

I am in.... I wont be leaving until Saturday morning again though. I have a full haunted house that we built at a friends house down the street. So whomever wants to drive to Dallas on friday night and join us at the haunted house is more than welcome.

Let me start figuring this out again. This time around I am going to run some harder trails.

DeJello. See if you cant get a good deal on the powertrax from Gerald for the rear of that thing. Early christmas present. I can install that puppy in thirty minutes.

None of the camp sites have water hook ups. The "RV" sites have electricity.

Unlike SOME places (ahem-shiloh-ahem) they are sticklers for safety. All of their required trail equipment is on Gerald's trail equipment list . If you plan to bring a bike or 4wheeler, read their rules.

Barnwell Site

- Hot water showers are available on-site in the men's and women's restroom at the main building
- Bathrooms in the main building have regular flushing toilets, electric plugs for hairdryers etc...
- Port-a-potties are located throughout the property in many convenient locations.
- On-site food vendor (Burgers, fries, BBQ etc - Breakfast and lunch stuff).
- A clearly marked trail system utilizing unobtrusive trail signage.
- Dry camping - either very primitive or in several club adopted improved dry campsites **See note below**
- Electric RV Camping in more then 20 electric sites located in a designated area on top of the BMRA property.
- Air Station available to refill tires at the end of your runs.

Trckmagik, did you get your ears fixed?

Nope, but thanks for reminding me. I think I am going to keep them where they are. I will just watch a little closer for banging them on the trees. Live and learn right?

Brad will not be able to make this trip. His other half wont let him go on 2 trips in one month. But BJ will be there. Jeff? Are u ready to do a four this time around?

I have no problems doing 4's, just remember it has to get me home, but you know I'm up for anything! :p

Tell BJ not to forget his Rubicon, BWHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Well now, that doesn't sound like a bad idea! Don't think I'd get it in time though, but hell, I'm game for it... hmm......

All you have to do is try :) Remember I also have the 4.10 gears sitting here doing nothing. I will double check and make sure that they are 4.10. I can sell them for butt arse cheap. Maybe even work a payment plan out with you. Hows that sound?

lol... you don't give up do ya.... I'd rather have 4.56s though... but.............. can you install them (and correctly too :p) if so, you got a deal.. :) I'm tired of this 3.55 BS

Trip

Alright ya'll,

I talked to the wife, and she gave me the go ahead.

I spent prolly bout 2 hrs talkin to SVO today up at his work, discussing my concerns about wheelin up in Gilmer, as I have to drive mine home too. But after a great conversation with him, I pretty much came to the conclusion that I'll be going.

So guys count me in, SVO I do believe that I get off of work on next Friday at 4:00p.m and I think the wife get's home around 5:00 p.m. So I'll work out the time and link up stuff later on. Oh and I'm bringin the wife *lookin at SVO* If she get's bent out of shape, you could use 2 SPOTTER'S right? L:D

Anway count me in, and hopefully my lil ranger that could can keep up with ya'lls xploder's..

If he would rather have 4.56's, I'll get involved about buying your 4.10's, that is front and rear correct?

That's awsome that she gave you the "Go-ahead" to come out and play with us.

I wish I would have brought my camera to work with me, that lil Ranger will have no problem going 99.9% of the places that we'll be going, the other .1% you wife called and told us not to let you do! :p

lol yeah that wouldn't surprise me..

your on vacation now aren't ya? I was gonna say I have Friday off, I could bring ya those CD's with the exlorer IETM's up to ya...that and I don't have a digital camera, and I wanted to get up pic up here so the rest of the guys could see .....well off to work,.

see ya

994x3Oh,
u got 4x4, u got no problem. i got 2wd w/ 33s and i almost manage to go anywhere.... almost. so, with 4x4, no problem. have fun guys.

Yeah I have a 99 4x4 Ranger w/ 4x4 off road package

Yeah I was shootin da chit with SVO yesterday and he noticed that I didn't have a skid plate up front to protect the front end, (I think I got swindled on the off/road package) so maybe when I get up there to gilmer with everyone, we could put our heads together and come up with a way to bolt a skidplate on, cause I don't really want to damage anythhing on the front if ya know what I mean.:D

But I'm stoked man to get up there. Hey SVO are you guys going to spend Sat night up there too? Me and wife can only stay Friday night and come back Sat night.

later guys:)

I will not be in Gilmer until Saturday Morning. So I will be staying Saturday night and leaving Sunday morning.

Yeah, I can't get off work completely as of right now. :( May be able to get off for the afternoon though, all depends. Anyway, back to my search for crap. :)

The way I see it right now is:

I plan on leaving Friday night, if SVT Girl gets off soon enough, if not we'll be doing the 2:30am thing again, to arrive at the crack of dawn in Gilmer.

Yes we will be spending the night saturday and leaving late sunday evening.

I would like to run as many trails as possible this time, mabey start with the 1's or 2's and run all the 3's and taste some more of them 4's.

I will be bringing a canopy for shade as well as a Coleman stove and my Tool Box Grill, plus a Coleman lantern with a tri-stand.

And my Halloween costume!

I am on vacation! :p

I will be, however, at the office on friday to finish up a 4x4 Raider and a 4x4 Cherokee so that I will have extra monies for this trip and to have all my loose ends tied up so I can have a free and clear vacation for the next week.

I will be there at 9am, but I will only be there long enough to do the job that need to get done, I figure about 6-8 hours, or if that, SVT Girl will be assisting me also.

I'll check the board periodically through out the morning and day, just give me an idea when you want to stop by, I will have my digi cam with me, as the TJ owner wanted some more pics of his rig taken.
