About a month ago, I replaced the plugs, wires, filters and such on my '01 Ex. Starting last week, the truck is getting harder to start. I have to spin it over a lot to get it to fire up. I found sometimes its easier if I spin it over some, sht the ignition off, then try to fire it up again. Once it fires up, it idles fine, accelerates good, no misfires or stumbling. I replaced the fuel filter, no difference. Could it be the fuel pump, or could it be another problem?
When I turn on the ignition, I can hear the fuel pump prime, and there's pressure although I'm not sure how much.

Over the next few starting attempts try this--
Turn the key on and off 4 times, then start. If this allows the engine to fire right up you have a weak fuel pump.

Yep, keying it 4 times seems to make it start easier. So, it looks like there's a fuel pump replacement in my future. I've had bad experiences with Airtex pumps, so I'll probably go with a Carter or TRW.
