Hard Thrust.

Does anyone have this issue? I'll be driving my car, and all of a sudden the explorer jerks. It is a really hard jerk. It usually happens when I am slowing down to a stop. It is not the breaks, it feels like it is something in the transmission. It is so hard that sometimes I think I was rear ended. Any suggestions?

You may not be under warranty but there are some TSBs for transmission issues,
if its part of that you will be covered(?)

The dealer will need to recreate it, does it happen again and again?

Try to research TSBs for your model year at the NHTSA site, then call the dealer.

Or a good mechanic you might know, they can access any info on your model as well.

With the earlier Explorers, the transmission bump was very common. You might be experiencing that.
