Have you ever changed the transmission fluid and filter? Although Ford says it is lifetime no fluid in any vehicle is lifetime unless its lifetime is way less than 100k miles. I always drop the pan, change the filter and refill every 40k-50k miles along with changing the transfer case fluid. If you have never changed the transmission fluid and filter then you should do it now as this might resolve your problems. You should change all the fluids at this point if they have not been changed before now. Many people just ignore this maintenance and then expect their vehicle to just run forever. IMO, if a manufacturer says a fluid is lifetime then they should put a number on how many miles a lifetime is comprised of. This should be a liability issue for them.
Also, if you are losing coolant then stop driving it until you know where the leak is occurring. If the water pump goes you will very likely destroy the engine and then you are looking at a $6k-$8k repair bill. If the pump is going then it will be a $1,500-$2,000 repair bill. With the miles on the vehicle, you should put new timing gear and guides in when the pump is replaced since this will only cost you the parts and no additional labor. At 150k miles this is more than warranted.
