I was just wondering if anyone has tried a 15x8 rim with a 30x 9.5 tire? I was thinking that this would have a wider look, but without the rubbing of a 31" tire on the same rim. Give me some feedback.

We started out with 30x9.50's Yokohama Geolander MT's on 15x8 rims.. It definately looked/worked better than the 235's the truck started with..

Here are a few pics of it..

I think thats it for 30x9.50 pictures that I have..

I found one more (not the best but it shows that it does not rub)

If you have a 95, why not run 31's?

The only rubbing on my wife's 98 has been under full (I mean FULL) compression in the rear. It's VERY minor, basically it cleaned off the paint on the inside of the wheel well.

15x8's are fine for 31's, you might as well get the extra ground clearance.

The basis of my comparison is 31x10r15 BFG AT KO's. Some other brands may be larger and cause more problems, but it looks to me like 32x11.5's would fit without too much rubbing. My wife has already asked about that for her 3rd set...bwahahah!!
