Hello and thank you for your help. Have a 14 piu and while in second gear very light throttle the trans like burbles or like in the old days when the torque converter locks and unlocks feeling also seems to delay shift. Also have a 13 that is doing same thing. No codes any great ideas? It is annoying and people don't want to drive them.

So still no answer for the low speed burble in light throttle? No one has experienced or no one has found a solution? Will look at motor and transmission in another week to see what is causing this problems. Heading to Massachusetts next weekend to pickup a 13 police Tahoe 4wd more fun to come

Well

, After driving the car a while, it's seems like a running condition. When cold, the needle on the tach bounces around a bit and definitely does it on light throttle in second and third. If you push it, it runs fine. Soo., I am leaning towards the engine running condition and not the trans. Going to try some techron double strength to see if it helps and then plugs. I ran it in Forscan but, I don't see any missfire. That's why I am leaning towards injectors, or cleaning. Car has about 7,000 hours of idling. Hope I don't have to go too deep into this.

Well, back to transmission. Has anyone used Forscan to look at the input and output speed sensors? Also need to look at tcm to see what gear it's shifting into. Could anyone give me pointers on how to view these things in the software?

Well after doing exhaustive search, it seems this shudder or burble with the torque converter locking and unlocking has been resolved. My PIU drives perfect again. I strongly recommend the original thread be locked at the beginning of piu section. Shudder is caused by the dirty trans fluid. Change fluid and major shudder goes away. I also used a anti-shudder treatment lubeguard shudder fixx in a two ounce tube. I found the fix on page 10 of 35 dating back to 2018. Please lock the original post from 2018 at the beginning of the forum to help others.
