Headlights on light switch off

I have a new problem with my 99 Exp. The headlights have started to come on during the day while driving, without the light switch being turned on. I only noticed because the interior display read outs dimed to the point of not being readable. The lights do go off when the truck is turned off.

Any ideas or test starting points?

I've seen a few other people post with headlight problems like yours, most times it's the headlight switch

your autolamps "sensitivity hole" is blocked by some dust.
