I would like to replace the headlights on my '93. Searching eBay, etc., finds many replacements.

The question is, which one(s) work, and which are junk?

I wouldn't mind switching to a project style light if they work. I don't think I will swap in HID - 9007s are pretty bright. I run auxiliary lights off road.

Thanks.

The OEM factory lamps are generally the best in terms of quality construction.

That said, there are aftermarket units that are decent for the price. DEPO seems to be one of the better ones, and there is a seller on ebay with a pair of the clear reflector style for not much money, less than you'd usually pay for one.

Eagle Eye is another aftermarket brand that is decent, though they only seem to make OEM knockoffs. TYC is also good, though I'd rank them behind the others. There are LOTS of no-name lamps out there, including projector-style lamps and those with "HID". These are mostly just junk for show, and have no real engineering behind them for an optimal beam pattern, or even a legal one.
