Heat/AC question

I have searched but havent quite found what Im looking for so any help would be great. My wifes 2000 Explorer will only blow hot air out no matter what the EATC setting. When using the manual buttons the air flow changes to the appropriate place, ie: vent, floor etc. So that leads me to believe the blend door is OK. Anyone have any other ideas on what to look at?? AC season is here in Phoenix so.... Thanks in advance for any pointers.

The blend door controls the heat to cold function, so I'd say it is a blend door issue.

Or am I confusing the airflow mixer or what have you with the blend door? And thank you for the quick reply.

There are 2 things, the blend door, which controls outlet temperature, and (for lack of the correct term) the outlet control, which puts the air where you want it.

Since your temp is constant, I would agree that it is a blend door.
