Hello all! First, let me say that this is the first and only forum I've ever joined, so complete NEWBIE as far as posting and all, so if I mess up something, sorry. Anyway, I have been typing questions into google for some time now and ya'lls forum keeps popping up with the answers, so kudos to you all. Now for the first question: My 1998 explorer awd, 5.0, 4 door is giving me a fit. The RH rear window will roll up but not down! Don't people usually have the opposite problem? I have about 8 years mechanic expierence, and am currently in military electronics (about 6 years now). So I have checked or replaced all the usual suspects, such as new window motor and harness, rear window switch, dissassembled and cleaned/inspected master switch, checked grounds and voltages, checked continuity. I have positive 12Vdc when master switch is pressed up, zero when pressed down. I think there is supposed to be negative 12Vdc when switch is basically reversed to spin the motor opposite. Is there a module or a realy or something I am missing here? Again, nice to join everyone.
