Hello all! I have always been an Explorer fan. Nothing beats taking it to the drive in theater, opening the hatch and watching a movie!
I used to have a 2003 XLT but had to sell it to get rid of the loan. I now acquired a 97 XLT, fully loaded with only 90,000 miles on it! It was free because of the "death rattle". PO thought it was a rod knock and was going to junk it. So with a few nights spent in the garage and about 100 bucks in tensioners and gaskets, etc, I have a sweet Explorer!
I do have one question though.... It needs a new front bumper... PO owner backed into it with his pickup. I've seen this bumper below on other Explorers and like it better than the one that is on it now... What model do I need to look for at a junk yard to find the bumper on the one below and will it be a direct fit?
